Jumpstart to Kindergarten I: Reinforcing Speech, Language, and Early Articulation Skills
Led by a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, this program strengthens key skills for kindergarten readiness. Through small group instruction, children will develop phonemic awareness, auditory comprehension, sequencing, and early articulation skills using a multi-sensory approach. Activities also support social skills and classroom participation.

• Morning Session: 9:00 – 11:30 AM
• Afternoon Session: 12:30 – 3:00 PM
This program is designed and led by a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist to support and reinforce essential speech and language skills for kindergarten readiness. Small group instruction will focus on:
• Phonemic Awareness & Sound-Symbol Relationships – Helping children recognize and produce letter sounds for early literacy success.
• Articulation & Speech Clarity – Encouraging proper pronunciation through guided practice and modeling.
• Listening & Comprehension Skills – Enhancing the ability to follow directions, answer questions, and participate in classroom discussions.
• Inferencing & Sequencing – Building logical thinking and storytelling skills through structured activities.
• Social & Pragmatic Language Skills – Developing peer interactions, turn-taking, and conversational skills to ease the transition into a school setting.
A multi-sensory approach is used, incorporating movement, tactile cues, and visual aids to reinforce learning. Home activities will be provided weekly to continue skill development outside of class.
Jumpstart to Kindergarten II: Developing Hand Skills and Introducing Letter Formation
Designed by a school-based Occupational Therapist, this program helps children develop fine motor skills essential for handwriting. Using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum, students will learn proper letter formation, pencil grip, and scissor skills while engaging in sensory-motor activities that enhance focus and coordination.
Jumpstart to Kindergarten II: Developing Hand Skills and Introducing Letter Formation
Session I: July 7-14 | Session II: July 14-18

This six-week session, led by a school-based Occupational Therapist, prepares children for handwriting in kindergarten by strengthening fine motor coordination, dexterity, and manipulation skills. The program features:
• Handwriting Without Tears Curriculum – Using developmentally appropriate techniques to teach letter formation and spatial awareness.
• Pencil Grip & Scissor Skills – Practicing proper hand positioning for writing and cutting through engaging, hands-on activities.
• Sensory Motor & Tactile Activities – Strengthening muscles needed for fine motor tasks through play-based exercises.
• Crafts & Manipulatives – Enhancing hand strength and coordination through fun, creative activities.
• Small Group Instruction – Encouraging attention to task, socialization, and participation in a classroom-like environment.
Each child will create a portfolio of their best work to take home at the end of
the program.
SMART (Sensory Motor And Reflex Training) Babies
For babies aged 2-10 months who are not yet crawling, this 30-minute session focuses on infant massage, vestibular activities, tummy time, and pre-crawling exercises. Parents will gain insight into the importance of crawling, sensory system development, and age-appropriate activities to support their baby’s growth.
SMART (Sensory Motor And Reflex Training) Babies
For babies aged 2-10 months (not yet crawling)
• 30-minute sessions
This program focuses on early sensory and motor development in babies before they start crawling. Led by an expert in infant development, the class includes:
• Infant Massage – Teaching parents soothing touch techniques that help with bonding, relaxation, and digestion.
• Vestibular Activities – Supporting balance and coordination through gentle rocking, bouncing, and movement exercises.
• Pre-Crawling & Tummy Time Exercises – Encouraging the development of upper body strength, head control, and motor planning.
• Sensory System Education – Helping parents understand how movement and touch influence overall brain and body development.
• Age-Appropriate Toys & Activities – Learning ways to stimulate sensory exploration at home.
Parents will leave with a deeper understanding of their baby’s developmental milestones and practical strategies to support their child’s growth.
Parent & Child Group
This 45-minute group session, led by a certified special education teacher or school psychologist, fosters self-esteem, socialization, language development, fine and gross motor skills, play skills, and the ability to follow directions. Designed for parents and children to learn and grow together in a supportive environment.

This interactive group is led by a certified special education teacher and designed to support social, emotional, and cognitive development in a fun, engaging environment. Each session will focus on:
• Building Self-Esteem & Socialization Skills – Helping children gain confidence while interacting with peers in a structured setting.
• Language & Communication Development – Encouraging verbal expression through songs, stories, and group discussions.
• Fine & Gross Motor Activities – Strengthening coordination, balance, and motor planning through play-based exercises.
• Play Skills & Following Directions – Teaching turn-taking, problem-solving, and classroom readiness behaviors.
This group provides a nurturing space for parents to connect with their child while learning strategies to support early development at home.
